Title: 1979 KTM GS 175
Post by: skiracer on September 10, 2015, 03:15:16 PM
FOR SALE:  1979 KTM 175 GS 80.  I bought this bike to replace my 82 PE 175. I wanted to have all three of my bikes with the same KTM motor.  After riding the bike for a couple of months, I have decided to keep the PE, and sell the KTM.  I am more comfortable on the PE.

I have gone completely through the bike:
,,h New fork seals and oil
,,h New 36mm Mikuni carb
,,h New air boot to the carb and off the air box
,,h New air cleaner
,,h Added wider foot pegs
,,h Tires are in excellent condition
,,h New kick starter
,,h Custom skid plate

This bike runs very well, and is ready to ride; needs nothing. Starts on the first or second kick every time.  The plastic tank is in very good shape; still has a great shine.  Cables and controls are in fine shape, as is the foam and seat cover.  It still has the original fenders and front number plate. Wheel bearings are fine, as are the swingarm bearings, and brake shoes.  Look at how nice the pipe looks!  Usually by this time, these pipes are all dented up.  It even has the original silencer on it! Plus, it comes with the hard to find center stand.

This model doesn¡¦t come on the market too often.  Here is your chance to own a real nice post vintage bike that is ready to race.  The asking price is $2,250!
