Title: 1972 Six Day leaking cases
Post by: Steve Minor on November 19, 2015, 08:55:21 PM
When Doug W. rebuilt my 72 Six Day motor, he instructed me to pull the case cover off when changing ATF. I always greased the gasket before re-installation. Now I've developed a drip I can't seem to stop. Any helpful hint?

Steve,

Could it be leaking at the seal where the shift/kickstart shaft goes thru the cover, or possibly the o-ring is leaking where it seals the kickstart shaft.

Hope this helps,
Paul

You know...it could be leaking there. Might have to do the old Baby Power sprinkle to really find the source of the leak.

Thanks Paul
