Mike You probably have but I usually buy them from Ebay by the box load. "Motoplat, Spanish Ignition etc. for search. Used to send them to Dane and he would go through them and pick out the good ones and send what's left back. At times I would send 10 or so sets with ignitions and he would test/match them for me. Sure miss that guy, what a great friend.

No, the black wire ones have the diode in the lower unit and the red wire ones have the diode in the coil. That is my understanding of the difference.
