When I saw this silencer I had to take a triple take...Well, at least it looks to be period correct! Too funny!
and another $24 to ship it.....
Mick
I saw that too, Mick. Still I'd like to know the back story on it. Was it out of necessity or was it a joke. Either way, I think it's Ameri"can" ingenuity at its best! Lol!!
Al B thought my 68 six days was too loud with the stinger when we where at Dave and Di Sanders.Does anyone know if this silencer would be period correct?

Well, it certainly looks like an old steel can. I just looked at some old Budweiser can ads from the late 60's and it appears this silencer might indeed be period correct. But I was just a little kid back then, so what do I know[?]:)
Rick, did you see the silencer end on the old Penton by the front door, its a Keystone Light can. WE started the bike up later in the day and a friend of mine road it. Dave
Dave, I missed it,their was so much to soak in.It would take another trip, but seriously keystone light on a penton???
What would John think?
Believe me, if you used a Coors can no one would mind. "Back in the day" when you couldn't get Coors east of the Mississippi when we returned from out west with the Cycleliner there would be an ample supply on board, many, many cases...
Paul
Paul, "Back in the day" we always got a load of Coors when we went west, and by the way Coors makes Keystone Light. Road my 350 RD Yamaha to Colorado "Back in the day" 70s, went up Pikes Peak, camped all the way, did some Cowboy Stuff, looked for Gold, and got two cases of Coors home. Well most of it anyway. Have I sent you a Coors huggie? Dave

1970 penton six days, 1975 husky wr250, 1983 husky cr250
Thanks Mike for posting pictures. Can anyone figure out what kind of miss this Penton is, I got it from Gary Ellis a time back. We don't know what to call it? The frame # is 20955738 so that makes it a 1972' It has a 100 tank, air box, and side cover. The motor is a 125 5 speed and the gears or widely spaced. Gary though it to be a 152 before I tore it down, but it is a 125 with st piston. I don't know what kind of ignition it had as it was missing. No engine number. Dave
