Title: MX Tank
Post by: LarryDunphy on June 15, 2016, 05:17:01 AM
A fellow POG member is interested in buying a nice 250 MX tank from me . It is in very good condition, just some minor cracking in the paint only, the tank does not leak. I do not know how to post a picture here, but wondered what a fair price would be for him to consider. I bleieve nothing from EBay pricing.  Thanks for any input

My first question is was he looking for a yellow 250 tank?  Since this was only offered for one year that makes it a bit of a rarity.  Red MX tanks usually start in the $150 range for something rough on the low side and go more commonly around $250 and more in decent condition.

Also bear in mind that the Berkshire Red and some other early non-high breather tanks will not fit high-breather frames. Mike

Thanks for this info. I sent this picture to him and he said it was just what he is looking for. Any idea what this rare, yellow tank should sell for?

Ask for what ever you're comfortable selling it for. Someone will come along and tell you could have gotten more, but it ain't always so.
