Title: Steel tank front forks
Post by: Larry Perkins on July 14, 2016, 05:51:27 PM
Does anyone know if the later front wheels will work without modification to spacing on a set of steel tank front forks.  Never dealt with the steel tanker much so I appreciate any help.

Really?  Nobody knows the answer to this query?  Hmmm? Hoping to adapt a set of steel tank Cerianis to my non Penton project(an Aeremacchi Harley 350) and would like to use an alloy front wheel without relacing.  Also don't want to buy needless parts to discover they won't work. ANY help appreciated!

I don't believe the spacing is all that much different.  The steel tanker sliders have a large tab which fits into the brake plate.

Good for pictorial reference:

Thanks Dale.  I forgot about the brake hub difference.  That might squelch it and make me use the older wheel.  Thank you for the help!
