Title: 1975 Jackpiner Spokes
Post by: JamesHorwatt on August 14, 2016, 11:23:24 AM
Morning All, I'm getting ready to redo the wheels, spokes and tires on my 1975 Penton 175 Jackpiner/CrossCountry. I'm looking at the spokes because i was thinking about having them replated. As i looked closer they appear to be painted silver like the frame. I know some European manufacturers did paint their spokes. is this the case with Pentons/KTMs also ???

Thanks Jim

My 72 were painted, a cost-cutting choice I suspect. They clean up nice on a wire wheeled bench grinder; clean, prime and silver - look like new.
