Title: Female John Penton...Meet Helen Musselman...
Post by: mxfiles on September 02, 2016, 11:50:53 AM
Hi Poggers!

Honda just launched this video we produced for them the other day about one of their longest running dealers in the USA and it's owner Helen Musselman.

They became a Honda dealer in 1959 and at 99 years young, she still comes in the store to work EVERY weekday from 9-5. Reminds me of another hardworking motorcycle pioneer...:)

Enjoy!

HAVE A GREAT HOLIDAY WEEKEND EVERYONE!

(I'm going to ride my adventure bike and pretend to be John Penton...without the broken bones.)

A very good video about a very neat lady! I have been to Tuscon several times over the years to attend a vintage model airplane contest out at Silver Bell Park. I haven't been back for a while, but the next time I do I will be sure to put a visit to this shop on my itinerary! They became dealers about the same time as Dave Mungenast. It's neat to hear her refer to "Mr. Honda" the same way Dave did. Dave had a copy of his first Honda order displayed on the wall of "The Husky Room" at his museum, and I think hi total bill came to a little less than $1900! Dave told a story once of how that scared the neck out of him, wondering if they would sell well enough for him to make pay roll! I'll bet it wasn't much different for the Musselman's. I love hearing this kind of history.
   Thanks a lot,

Thanks Ric!!!  That's an offer I may have to take you up on.  I'll give you a heads up prior to coming.  I don't get down that way a lot , but will try to this winter.
I'm a fan of Mexican food too!!
