Title: plastic tank restoring
Post by: Dale Sonnenschein on November 14, 2016, 04:04:12 PM
I saw a post someplace about getting the yellowing out of a white gas tank. I think it was here but I can't find it. Does anyone remember seeing this post?

I have read all the posts including the one about yellowed tanks. In my opinion, other than scraping with a razor blade, or my preferred method of sanding and buffing which removes the top layer of faded and oxidized plastic increasing the sheen and brightening the plastic, I don't think the yellowing from gas vapors can be helped much, but it certainly would be worth a try.
