Title: Penton GS6 400 Head Bolts
Post by: cecmwilson on November 16, 2016, 07:50:45 PM
Head bolt question: On my 1977 GS6 400, there were no washers under the smaller allen head bolts when I removed the head, even though there looks like an area machined in the head for a washer. I am not the original owner, so I'm not sure what the bike has been through. Any help is most appreciated! Thanks.

Should be 8mm flat washers if you are talking about the allens that go from the head to the cylinder.

Thanks a lot, Rocket. I raced a 1977 MC5 400 "back in the day" but I don't remember any allen bolts on the head. Maybe I had inhaled too much burned bean oil! I really appreciate your info.
