Looking to finish up my 74.5 Jackpiner and wonder if anyone has a decent airbox side cover for the laydown shock position and a 14mm kick lever both in good condition. Thanks

HELLO, SCOTT, WE HAVE 15 NOS. LEFT SIDE COVERS, THEY ARE BLUE WITH THE 3 BOLT HOLES FROM THE 70s IF YOU WANT ONE GIVE ME A CALL THANKS JAKE, 412 999 1143
If I am not mistaken I'm pretty sure those are MC5 side panels that Jake is talking about, like the 77 red/green version I bought from him at the York swap meet, not Jackpiner lay down shock side panels. New originals are rarer than hen's teeth and the old used ones are brittle and usually trashed out.
DC Plastics are not very good or flat, but if you can find some fiberglass ones they will paint up nice. Mike

Scott,
Fantastic looking build! That is the sharpest looking Jack Piner I have seen yet. Are the rims the original Akront's or are they new? Assuming they are the originals, what did you use to polish them up so nicely?
Thanks,
Kevin
The early 1974.5 had the 1974 alloy cover and were bent outward for the lay down.
Thanks to all for the info and kind words. I've been piddling on this one for about a year and it's finally coming around. Engine is on the original bore which is partially why I decided to restore. Kevin the rims are new and laced with SS spokes from Buchanan polished up with a little Mother's. I had the original hubs powdercoated locally. Tank and seat pan have been reglassed and the list goes on ad on as you all know.
I have a couple of D.C. Plastic side covers along with a the original glass right side cover that's in fair condition. Also I have a few kick start levers and shift levers in poor condition which is why I'm reaching out.
Jake I'll give you a shout on the side cover, if you get a chance shoot a picture to my email. Any and all help is appreciated. So far quite a few people to thank but still a bit to go. Thanks.
