In the internals there is a washer that has four cardinal tabs on the inside of the ring.I would like to know if this washer can be inserted either way, if not which way should it go? Thanks

Im not sure without looking at a pair of forks. Ill check as soon as I can. Also be sure to check the little spring washer on the bushing in the bottom of the fork tube.It should be holding the washer tight against the bottom. If not replace them. Some of them sacked out and it made a real differance in the fork action.
