Title: Frame rake question
Post by: Jay Brown on November 15, 2017, 12:20:51 AM
Does anyone know what the steering head rake is on a 75 250 Penton frame? And did they change the rake from a 73 Jackpiner on the 75 250s?

Not sure about the rake being different, but on the 175 I had, may have been a '72, the distance from the crank to the front wheel was lengthened starting with the '73 250's, cornering was not as good as 175's. When I raced vintage with Penton 250 and 400's, I always put the engine in old 175 frames!

So the 250 motor will bolt into the 175 frame? the motor mounts are the same?
