Title: The Three Amegos
Post by: skiracer on November 18, 2017, 05:10:57 PM
Has anyone seen the photo on Facebook of the three Americans that did the six days riding for Mexico in '78?  There is a '78 KTM in the photo with a pair of straight forks on it.  In 1978, why would anyone want to use straight forks instead of the offset axle style?  It doesn't make any sense to me....

Moiseev used straight leg Ceriani into the 77 season.  He did not like the leading axle zokes but the rest of the World thought they were "The" setup.

Yes I remember that.  It just that the straight legs reduce the amount of travel you get, thereby putting the rider at a disadvantage to other riders.  Plus, won't the shorter forks change the rake of the bike?
