Iwas fortunate recently to liberate Steel Tanker #V074 from the Pacific Northwest and it is safe at home on the Gulf Coast awaiting tear down.
I say awaiting as I've decided to bring it up as-is to display at the 50th, along with my Don Burgess inspired CMF Berkshire.
The 68 needs a TON, and has had a rough life:

My goal is to restore it to an as ridden 1968 Enduro Bike, not a showroom queen. Will need a lot of help and advice - so please chime in, as well as keeping your eyes open for period correct parts.

Larry - if I have been reading correctly there were 3 air boxes used in 68. Am I correct?
2 different length painted ones, and on some bikes the round Husky style? On the Leroy Winters bike (v71), it has the round air box - wonder if it came with that or it was a choice? I need to see the brackets to maybe get a clue if there are any brackets left on my frame.
And the million dollar question - which would have been on this range of serial number?

My understanding is there were the oblong ones on 68. I think the round ones have been used for two reasons. One as an upgrade to get more air and the other on a 68 where the original is gone. That is my understanding but I am not a steel tanker expert by any means,
