need the rubber adapter that connects the carb (Bing has 54/36/116 on a tab with 54 embossed on the side) to the engine's manifold. The engine manifold o.d. Is 42.2mm with 1" of shoulder to take the adapter, the carb has an o.d. Of 44.97mm. This is for a Penton/KTM 400. Help!

Check Home Depot or Lowe's in their plumbing dept. They have a number of rubber fernco couplers with clamps in various diameters. Length is generally only a couple inches. If you cant find something suitable, go to your local auto parts store and ask for gas tank filler neck hose in the diameter you need. You probably will have to purchase 1 foot minimum,but it is usually pretty reasonably priced.
