Hello to all . . . we`ve got cases apart on the engine now and there are obvious signs of wear including crankshaft bearings and trans bearings. Another item that caught our attention right away is the gear selector stop pin that moves along the length of the `Shift Drum`, if it can be called that. The pin which protrudes about 5mm outside of the drum on each side is attached perpendicular to the shifting selector rod.
MY QUESTION IS: can this pin be removed for replacement or repair? I am assuming that it is a press fit into the shifting rod OR the pin might consist of 2 pieces that screw into the rod? The pin is quite worn, unfortunately can't post a photo. I can be emailed directly,
[email protected] , thanks in advance for any help !!
