Greetings,
Thanks to Matt and Barb Weisman for sending along the link below that tells of the evolution of the Penton Imports building on West Erie avenue. When you open the link the first building, which started out as a dairy bar, is the building that housed Penton Imports for a period of time.

During the bus tour of the buildings that we did during the 40th. Anniversary event we made a stop at that building. The link below will take you to the photos from that tour and photos 18 thru 46 are at that location.
I personally could write a short book of memories about that location with one of them being that the Trophy Team photo for the 1974 Camerino event was taken on the sidewalk in front of the larger part of the building on the right. Jack wore a set of boots without the medal plates to the photo shoot which caused quite a stir.... A quick run inside to the parts department got him a set of plates that he taped to his boots. If you look closely at some of the Team photos you can see that there are no rivets in those medal plates :)

The link below will take you to another group of photos from that tour with photos 29 thru 33 being at that building, photo 33 is a "reenactment " of the ISDT Trophy Team photo. If you look at the photo that we are holding in photo 33 you will notice that Jack is behind Larry, that was done to hide his taped on plates. There are other photos where they are visible. Photo 35 is of the last cycleliner as it rested behind JP's home. I wish I hand known it was being scrapped before it was all over..........

Rumor has it that another bus tour of those buildings is on the list of possible activities for the 60th. Anniversary event.......keep tuned !
