Hey guys, just starting a new project, it's a '73 250 yellow tanker 250. The pipe is pretty beat from just behind the fiberglass plate back. Ideally, I'd like to find a NOS pipe but open for suggestions.
Thanks,
[email protected]
The end of the 73 pipe was like no other and is almost impossible to find though I was amazed someone had an NOS one if indeed it was the proper 73 one. There was no other Penton that had a silencer end like it. Many of them had the shroud cut away back in "The Day". Wish it was easy to post a picture here but it is like a fishtail. Very unique. Good luck in the search.

Greetings,
This photo out of the Photo Gallery shows the end of the "73" 250 pipe that Larry described, or at least I hope it is what Larry wanted to show..:)

Roberto Pettinato sells these correct reproduction silencers on eBay under the name ParmaBike, or direct to POG members for a 10% discount if ordered directly from him. He also attends Mid Ohio. Mike

Kurt,
Give these folks a call http://www.coneeng.com/tubing_and_bends.html they have the tubing you need to replace the last 14" of that pipe. The first 10" is one diameter and last 4" is slightly smaller to accept the tail piece. Won't look bone stock, but beats shelling out for an entire pipe when only the shroud is mashed.
Thanks,
Kevin
Does anyone know if Roberta Petinato/Perma bike will have a booth, display or bring any items or catalogs of the products he sells to mid Ohio?
You should give him a call he lists his number on his eBay sites and see if he will have anything there generally he is buying at Mid-Ohio. I don't believe he has a swap meet booth, but im not sure. He might be able to bring something he has in stock if you request it.

Thanks, I shot them an email 8 days ago with no response. I'll shoot over another incase it got buried..
Unless something has changed, I do not think they will ship to the US. Roberto makes trips over there and brings back bulk quantities of products. At one time Kip had a nearby contact that would ship some products from there. Mike

Vintage Moto Parts is his site. eBay must have eliminated his direct ph.#, but it's (561)-504-7055 Tell him you are a pog member for a 10% discount.

Just spoke with Roberto on the phone. He's on it! Thanks very much for providing the phone number. This is a project we hope to feature in the upcoming issue of Trail Rider Magazine.
