Title: Pipe available: for 73/75 400cc
Post by: Mike OReilly on September 26, 2002, 12:08:45 PM
On E-Bay at the moment: a fairly rough 250 with a 400 pipe on it (the large one with the chrome end piece). I know these are among the rarest of Penton pipes, so thought I would point this out for those of you interested. Maybe buy the bike for the pipe, put a much more common 250 pipe on it and re-sell it? The price at this point seems reasonable.

The 250 and 400 enduros came with a pipe that had the chrome cone endpiece in 74-75.  I have a real good one for sale if anyone is looking.

Don't forget that the 250 and 400 pipes are significantly different at the head pipe.  They do not interchange 73-75 between the 250 and 400

Very good point Kip.  I forgot to mention mine is for a 250.  They will interchange but I suspect the 400 needs the extra snake twist it has as extra headpipe.
