Title: 1978 250 pipe
Post by: Mike Korgan on December 17, 2018, 04:00:24 PM
Has any one who has changed their 77 mc5 pipe for a 1978 mc5 "torque pipe" required re-jetting? If so, how much change did you make?
Thanks,
Mike

Gary Ellis has experience in that area and I think Mike Winter too.  They should be able to help.  My thought is not but never did it.  No seat of the pants experience for me on that one.

My 78 mc5 250 had a Mikuni carb but I did use a Circle F 78 style torque pipe previously on a 77 MC5 250 with a stock Bing 36mm, and it ran just fine. Mike

I have one on my 76 MC 5 250.  I run a Lectron carb, and did not have to change any of my settings.....

Each bike is different, but most of the time no jetting changes.
