I never owned one, but a Friend ask where to fill oil on this model?  Thanks.

To quote an old Bill Cosby album; " Just pour it all over it, it will soak in somewhere!!""
On some bikes, it really isn't obvious!

It is a large nut looking thing on top of motor.  Should be a couple of them.  Some are plastic and some metal.  I think 17mm.  I think it is like the earlier KTM motors but now I am doubting memory.  Oldtimers disease.

On the 1979 KTM engine, the oil is replenished by removing the screw plug on the clutch case cover, just above the shift shaft.

According to the KTM 420 repair manual, tip the machine over to the right and pour 1.4 liters of SAE20 engine oil or automatic transmission fluid into the oil filler in the clutch cover.
