Title: SACHS 100 6D
Post by: Larry Perkins on January 18, 2019, 12:27:04 PM
Has anyone ever seen a Sachs 100 6D motor?  I thought they only did the D in 125.  I have come across a 100 cylinder that has the spigot mount like the 125 6D.  It appears to be factory.  Inquiring mind would like opinions.

Have not taken any.  I was wondering if that might be the case.  It is different than the stock 100 cylinders as it does not have a notch at bottom of sleeve.  But I have a couple of 100 sleeves that do not have it.

Gary is probably correct.  We did have some special ones made in Houston by a Machine Shop.  I have seen several special modifications like an aluminum cylinder that was a 152 that had great porting.  Larry I Happy you are back in the Game.

Ron,

Yes I am going to jump in with both feet!  Thank you for encouragement.  Building a Astrodome replica to race this season with a couple of new twists.  Thinking of using this D cylinder 100 on a Cross Country bike too.
