Title: New (to me) 1975 250
Post by: Nightwind15 on January 31, 2019, 06:03:35 PM
Hi,
Just entered the world of Penton with a 250 scrambler 1975 model.  I have an extensive background with Yamaha but getting off the reservation and going to try racing a Penton this year.  Any tips of upkeep or things to watch for would be appreciated if there are specific to this great looking bike.

Keep up with your normal maintenance.  Stay after keeping motormounts tight.  They loosen more than my Yamahas do.

What Larry said for sure... especially the ones that thread into the Magnesium cases (careful with that). Also keep the inside of that ignition cover clean/dry.

Thank you guys.  I would have likely neglected the motor mounts.  Now to decide about the fluids.
