Title: ALUMINUM FENDER WIDTH
Post by: Larry Perkins on February 05, 2019, 02:07:47 PM
Having trouble finding width of Original aluminum fenders on the 72 and early 73 CMF bikes.  Could someone tell me for sure?  Also has anyone use the Taiwanese aluminum ones Waldridge sells?  Thanks!

Just put the old tape on my Pentons. My 1968 125 6-day has a 3 1/2" X 33 1/2" front fender and the rear is  6 3/8" x 38". the rear fender is longer then the 1969 as the fender hangs below the swing arm and mounts to a bracket welded to the frame. These are the original fenders that were on the Penton when I got it.  Now the 1969 100 Berkshire has a 5 1/2" X 26" front fender with a rubber flap and the rear is 6 3/8" X 34". Thats about 4" less, as there is no bracket under swing arm. The fenders on the 100 Berkshire I got from Penton while at a dealer meeting. Still have the invoice, I gave $2.00 each and a small headlight was $6.00 but came with two exhaust rubbers. Also my 1974 125 Trials "Cafe" "Woodsman" what ever, has a 5" front fender and a 6 1/2" rear. These I know or original as bike has less then 100 miles on it from new. Penton also sold a 2 piece aluminum rear fender.
