Hi, could someone please tell me if this is the correct rear backing plate / brake plate, for a low frame number '68 steel tanker ? But also even if it is correct, I'd like to buy one in better condition. I appreciate the help.

Hi Rob,

I just took a look at #15 and I would say they are a match. I will make a note to look for one the first of the week when I get back to the shop incase you still need one by then.

I took a look today and so far have come up empty handed in finding the correct backing plate. I will keep looking but not sure I will find that early of one. I would think that other makes might have used the same one as well, but I am sure you are also hot on that trail...:)
