Title: Flywheel thread pitch and size Sachs
Post by: Brentb on March 17, 2019, 01:46:16 PM
Hello,

I just acquired a Sachs 1001/6B and missing the ignition. Upon closer inspection the threads are slightly damaged on the end of the crank.

It's left hand, measures M10 but fine threads

Anyone know if this is really an M10 and what the thread pitch is?

Thanks B.B.

Get yourself a set of thread files, if you do not have any. Grainger's sells a set that covers just about everything standard and metric. Works on right and left handed threads. Especially handy for situations like a crank shaft end. well worth the money even if you only use them a few times a year, if you do all the work on your bikes, you need them.!!
