Actually it's my late uncles bike.
The serial number is 703 01633. Tells me its a GS6??
The side plates that were with it are orange and white and say MC5
Someone change plates on me? It's a hare scrambler, W lights.
How do you post pictures?
She's in great shape. Crank is free, and everything is there i believe except the carb. If memory serves it came with a Bing, but he put a Lectron on it at some point. Either way they are both missing so I'll have to find another, but as far as I can tell it's otherwise complete.
From that frame number it is definitely a 77 GS6 model. The engine number is located on the right hand side by the front motor mount just below the fins above the ignition cover and that will tell exact completion date of the engine and what size it is. It sounds like either they changed the side panels or stickers. Mike
You can text me pics @ 618-553-1346 and I'd be happy to let you know what I can determine about the bike.

I'll have a look at the engine this afternoon. It's a 250 i know. I was about 13 when he bought it. I remember. It was brand new but since then some guy has had it I think was going to restore it, but never got around to it. He may have accidentally swapped side plates when we went to retrieve it.
Get some photos and post them so we can have a look. Sounds like a nice machine David. By the way I am originally from Jackson Co. TN . Will be back that way to see family in a week or so. William

Great looking bike! That pipe looks like one from a MC-5. Have fun with it!
