POG member Bob Wentzel was at the POG meeting last night and he talked about his son, Quinn, racing at the Erzberg event in Austria this year. His son had a helmet cam to record his ride at the event.
This is posted on his Instagram page. Quinn had a 5th row start at this event which meant that he had a lot of riders in his way that he had to pass. Watching this video had my heart beating. He is such a talented rider. In one of his videos there is a clock in the upper right hand corner of the screen showing him going over 70 mph at times in that mine catching up and passing other riders. [:0]
Google Quinn Wentzel to find these and other videos of his riding. Worth the search and watching. [:p]

Talk about rock gardens, Geesh!
Thanks for sharing.
How did Quinn finish overall?
That crash he took early on looked rough; glad he overcame it.

Slow but Good
500 started, only 18 finished the 26 checkpoints within the allowed time. Quinn is listed as finishing 80th and made it to Carl's Dinner (checkpoint 19) before time expired. Starting in the fifth row it was quite an accomplishment indeed to make it that far.
Sandra Gomez (Husqvarna) started in the first row and finished 67th. Her race also ended in Carl's Dinner.

At the Fort Hood 2 day in the early 70's everyone was bitching about the rocks. Malcolm Smith answered - shoot, if there's still dirt in between them it's not rocky yet!
