Hi Craig, and welcome to the Penton Owners Group website.

I read your post and wondered if your 1971 Six Day 125 was a Steel Tank model or the CMF model with fiberglass gas tank ? The reason I ask is that the first of the fiberglass gas tank CMF models have a build date of June of 1971 stamped into their steering head but at the same time there were still the earlier Steel Tank Pentons being sold out of Penton Dealers, and I am sure still being warehoused by Penton Imports, and could as well be sold as 1971 models.

Just wanted to make sure that folks are trying to get you the correct seat as the Steel Tank seat is different from the CMF model seat.

The link below will take you to the Production Year Guide for the Penton Sportcycles that is part of the POG website, possibly you are totally aware of all the info contained there, but if not it is an incredible resource.

Either way, welcome aboard and good luck with your Pentons :)

Paul

I found an extra one for steel tanker, if that's what you have. Needs a new cover but Al usually has those.
