Title: Swingarm measurments needed
Post by: Dennis DeGonia on December 27, 2019, 03:10:48 PM
Looks like I am going to have to try and fix this mangled mess:) I am in need of the distance from the bottom of the swingarm to the top of the tube that the kickstand goes in on a 72 Piner. I think the tube should be level with the swingarm but not sure. Also need to know that when the kickstand is in the up position if it is parallel to the swingarm. Also need to know the size of the square stock that was used for the swingarm stop. If anyone can help, I would sure appreciate it. Dennis

Looks like the top of the kickstand tube is 105mm or about 4 1/8" when measured from the bottom of the swingarm. The tube sets level with the swingarm. I use 1/4" key stock for the kickstand stop which is close to the original. If you want a little more beef go with 5/16". I've used both on my projects.

Looks like mine is 1 3/4. The bracket isn't that far out of wack. Can I send you a pic of how I am measuring it? D

Cal, found your email and sent you a pm with a pic. D
