Iron or alloy cylinder ? Roberto (parmabike) has a set of 54.5 rings for an iron barrel on eBay item 352227232531.

I just went out and checked the NOS rings that I have. I probably have 12-15 sets of the iron cylinder 54.5mm rings part numbers 0615 103 001 L ring and 0615 101 001 rectangle ring.

Wonder what the difference is between these iron cylinder rings and the 54.5mm alloy cylinder rings part numbers 0615 103 006 L ring and 0615 101 006 rectangle ring ?

Anyone know what the difference is between the iron/alloy cylinder rings other than the obvious part numbers ?
