That is a beauty. Great job!
Very nice Bob.

Great job! It looks like a new one! I never had a steel tank. My friend Clyde Walther had one like yours & won first 125 B class at the 49er Enduro back in the early 1970s. It was always a tough Enduro. Congrats. to both of you![:p]
Very nice job Rob. Are those Borroni ribbed alloy rims?
Lee
Thank you for the compliments gentlemen. This bike was the most gratifying motorcycle I have ever restored.
Lee, yes they are Borrani rims. Buchannan Spoke and Rim only has a WM1 in 21", they told me that the dies were destroyed, and they no longer make a WM2 (which is what it needed to be original). Luckily after 6 months, I found the right size NOS Borrani rims from a guy on Ebay.
Bob
Bawb,
She is a beaut, only see one thing missing, need a tag under that rear CEV light.

:) Thanks Don, that would be up to the owner, I'd like to see that also.
Forever when I look at this bike, I will think of Jeff Borer. Without Jeff, this bike would not be complete. I can only hope he'd be glad his air box went to a worthy cause.
Nice job Rob, I have a old John Penton tag on mine that Larry Maiers gave me back in the day. Had my old steel tanker out over 4th weekend, First kick and away I went. Took the grand-kids a ride. Later Ol Dave
Pretty!!!

Mr. Wardlow,
Very nice comment about Jeff Borer. I can still picture the smile on Jeff's face when he brought that airbox to a POG meeting and told of his incredible find. I don't recall if he found it at Jamie's weekly flea market in Amherst, or at a local garage sale, but either way it was an incredible chance find.
Jeff's dad attends most all POG meetings. and when he hears of your restoration and of how you gave much thanks to Jeff's find I am sure his smile will equal Jeff's as mentioned above.
Very nice restoration.

Awesome job Bob. Great looking bike.
Thanks everyone. -
Paul, I remember when Jeff brought the air box to Vintage Days, after his incredible discovery. Yes, please let the Borer family know how much it is appreciated.
Here is the bike, as I received it. Just needed a few parts, and a little Armor All.

I would like to buy a few gallons of THAT Armor All :D Very impressive.
It's not the Armor-All, it's how you rub it in!!!
As always, Rob, another great job. And you have the world best wall to take pictures in front of!
Type at you later,
Dan McEntee
Rob when you did that over the bars into the bed of that pickup it must have given you some super powers for Motorcycle restoration![^]
