Title: A Penton goes to Kawasaki
Post by: Pat Oshaughnessy on November 01, 2020, 02:05:01 PM
In the Jimmy Wienert book there is a short story that Jimmys mechanic was not happy with what they were sent from Kawasaki. He went to a Penton dealer & bought one. Shipped it to them & said Make this![:p]

That is quite prophetic, as some time after 1977 or 78 didn't Jack ride for Kawasaki at the ISDT for at least one year??? I'll have to find me a copy of that book. There is some one's Factory Yamaha, may be one of Wienert's I think when he rode for Yamaha, that has Maico Forks because the factory wouldn't or couldn't provide him with what was needed in that respect!
   Type at you later,

I remember the Maico forks on the Yamaha. I think a privater in Dist. 36 MX ran them as well[^]
