Title: motoplat ignitions
Post by: Mike Korgan on November 30, 2020, 03:36:20 PM
Are the Motoplat ignitions the same for 250 and 400? I have a 77 mc5 250 and I want to try a heavier flywheel. I have a good ignition from a 400 but want to make sure it's ok to run before I try it.
Thanks,
Mike

Yes the same. You can use the 400 flywheel. What are you trying to do?

Trying to tone down the powerband a little bit. I have a PVL on there now.

Has the motor been apart? Set deck height to .052

PVL has a extra weight you can add on the flywheel.
