Title: Sachs Ign Timing
Post by: Richard Colahan on February 25, 2021, 06:21:41 PM
I'm working on a friend's 1974 125 SD with Sachs Engine/Motoplat. The manual I was given states Ign timing is 2.6 to 3.2 mm btdc. Quite a range! Any suggestions on a more specific setting?
Thanks

Richard its been so long ago that I had my Sachs I forgot how I set the timing. I would split it right in the middle of the 2 . I know they can run backwards if to much advance.[:0]

I am running mine at 2.6 and using pump high test. You could advance more with race fuel.

Rick, this one is at 2.6 and will not get race gas...so I'll leave it where it is...thanks!
