Title: Exhaust builders/parts?
Post by: skiracer on November 11, 2021, 07:28:41 PM
Anyone know of a person or comapany that builds 2 stroke exhaust systems from scratch? Or, a company that builds all the pieces?  I am looking to change out the 180 bend on a 1978 pipe, and also get a transitional cone to mate up to the existing pipe.

Dyno Port used to make some of the best KTM 2-stroke pipes available and used to sell pieces-parts for tuning and repair. Don't know if they still do that? If not maybe they can steer you in the right direction? They're in NY State in the finger lakes area.

I don't know if Geoff does parts but you may want to check him out at Geoff Morris Concepts (G.M.C.).

I had George build my YZ465 pipe and he did a nice job. The only thing that was little off was the spring mounts going to the engine. He's in Australia but I found him EZ to work with.  You will have to be patient as he has a long lead time for builds. Yes, plan to drop some big coin.

I found a many pipe builders in the states looking for welders and unable to provide decent services.

Mike, I heard back from Rich and he had an interest in helping out. Like most small companies right now, they are extremely busy. He can't look at it until March. Thanks again for your help.
