Title: flywheel cover
Post by: tim on November 05, 2002, 08:15:44 AM
I have a Penton-Wassel and I am rebuilding it for vintage trials competetion. I need a good uncracked unwelded ignition side flywheel cover. If you have a spare please let me know.
Many thanks

Tim, these are getting hard to find, undamaged.  E-Bay has them come up occasionally, and Jake Fischer had some NOS for $200 each this past summer.

Tim welcome to the world of wassell. I have been competing in AHRMA trials on these bikes for several years now and with a few modifications they work pretty good. If you are going to compete on the bike above the novice levels a repaired cover should work fine as you will break parts riding rocky trials. I will look forward to seeing your Penton at a trial.

Dennis, I blasted and painted the frame,Made a new swing arm pivot bolt and am rebuilding the engine. I got some good cases from Perkins and am probably going to have to weld the case. I am sorry to hear that Ridgedale is out. I will probably ride the old Greeves in additon to the Wassel.
