Title: VDO mount bracket
Post by: Scott Sappington on February 09, 2022, 08:08:50 PM
Poggers, New site eh! Can some of you post or email me some photos of VDO Speedo mounts for a 74 250HS application? Or does someone have a mount they would part with? Help appreciated. I have some stainless sheet in the shop to Fab with. S Rat

Scott,
Here are two types of mounts that you could probably use. Might be others too but think the two pictured are the most common you would expect to see on a Penton. One is a metal "L-shaped" bracket that attaches to the steering stem nut using the same dynamic rubber mount found supporting the exhaust pipe. The VDO is then clamped to the "L-bracket" with a standard hose clamp. The other mount is one which attaches on the cross bar of the handlebars. Sorry but I do not have any extras to sell but hope the pictures help. I would think an "L-bracket" could be fabricated out of a good piece of stainless or carbon steel. If you need better pics and a few measurements just let me know. Good luck !
