Title: Rear Hub question
Post by: dirtymartini on March 21, 2022, 09:14:58 PM
Hello all,

I belonged to the POG previously...I'm not sure how I let my membership lapse but I'm back. I just picked up a '74 Jackpiner, from the frame number it was made in February of '74.

I read the Tech Tips on rear hubs and as I understand it the same hub was used on the '74 250 as the 175? The Jackpiner I just bought has a cracked rear hub that has a bad-looking weld job. I am searching for a replacement.

Where are you located?  I have an extra wheel and am in Portland OR.

I'm on the opposite side of the country in PA. My zip is 18618. Send me a message with a price if you would be willing to ship. Thanks!

It's a full wheel with a tire so shipping would be expensive, let's see if you can get something locally first.

Are you looking for a hub that you can replace your cracked one with, or a complete wheel?

@Paul Danik, Just the hub would be fine. The crack has been welded and it looks like they welded the sprocket carrier also. It's ugly!
