Title: 1977 MC5 Suspension Travel
Post by: johnbowman on September 10, 2023, 10:30:41 PM
I've read several conflicting  things about the suspension travel for a 1977 MC5 with the Marzocchi forks and shocks.

How much travel did these bikes come with stock?

Thanks,

John

The best way to get info here is to post incorrect info!😁😁😁. Some bikes front forks are different so that's where the conflicting info begins. They used cerriani  and Marzochi forks.(in my manuals anyway?) I've never seen a 76-77 250 mc5 with anything but Zoch front forks. Maybe the 125 and 400 are different due to their weight.
I measured 7-1/2" on my bikes front Zoch forks. The rears are WP shocks and depending where you position them... pretty close to 7" again. But that's just my bike too.

standard travel on both was 8.5 inches. nine if you count the top out spring travel.
