Title: Jackpiner center case gasket
Post by: Maico 125 on March 09, 2024, 05:57:29 PM
I bought a new centercase gasket for my Jackpiner and it is obviously the wrong gasket. (  two questions:

1.  Can I re-use the gasket that came out - it looks good, and

2.  I was told not to use any contact cement or silicon on the center cases.  Why?

Thanks again.   Got the Kickstart issue corrected.  It was installed wrong.

My brain is telling me that you removed the bolt on the bottom when you dropped the trans fluid. That bottom bolt is the starting gear stop. The bolt on the side case just below the counter shaft sprocket is the trans drain.

Only grease is used when assembling the center gasket. You soak it in water first.
