Photo of me just finishing tech inspection and rolling into the impound.
Excellent photo. This event has always been on my bucket list to participate in. Can you share approximate cost for shipping your bike over to Italy? I'm in Oregon so I realize it will be different. What is the entry fee for the Vintage Trophy event? Thanks for any information you can share. The logistics seem a bit overwhelming
Well, the team bought a shipping container which is based in AL. So, you have to get your bike there. We hired the shipping company that the US ISDE team uses to ship their bikes. From AL it is a door to door service (race site.) This year we shipped 6 bikes in the container; total cost per bike is around $4,500. Entry fee for the envent is $400. Overall cost of the trip including building an existing bike, gear, travel, and all the "small" things you forget is around $13,000. Yes, that is a lot of money, but, an experience like no other.
The price I have listed below is for two people traveling together.
