Title: 38mm Fork Oil?
Post by: tlanders on November 23, 2002, 07:08:12 AM
I just bought a '78 KTM basket case. How much oil do the 38mm forks take? I have been putting 185cc in the 35mm forks for the vintage bikes.

Teddy...I have a parts manual that I bought from Al for a 1978 400mc5.....Hand written, in the margin of the forks section, it says...."360cc static drain, 375cc tear apart, 38mm, capacity per leg".....This is for the 38mm Marzocchi forks.

I'd be glad to scan the page and email it to you.

Steve, Thank you so much. I would love to see if I can get this baby running today. I need to buy a manual also, but in the mean time if it REALLY is no bother to you, an email of a scan would be nice.
