Title: Fork staining
Post by: tomale on December 17, 2002, 04:52:56 PM
The fork sliders on my 76 MC5 are a champagne color. they came that way when I bought the bike new. They are some what marked up from just riding etc. Are they painted or is that the color casting. If they are painted does anyone know where to get the stock color? Speaking of color, I am going to takes everyones advise and try to restore the bike. So I will need to find the stock color of the frame as well and where to find it. I may ride it until I can get another bike to ride so I will be looking for another bike come spring.

Thom Green,I bought and raced my 76 250 MC5 in 76'and 77' but I am just now getting back into riding again.

I found a real close color once but lost it in my fire and cant remember what it was. For the frame you can use the newer ktm silver/gray or there ihas been alot of that takl here. Just look around. I have my painter use GM truck bumper silver.
