I am looking for the stock engine specs for my 76' 250 MC5 (MX) specifically the amount of horsepower the engine puts out. My bike was so new when I got it I never had any information about it,not even a service manual. The manual I have now is too generic to be of much use about such things.

Thom,
I have a KTM engine manual that was printed in August 1975 that shows horsepower for a the 250cc engine as being "34 din ps/7,400 r.p.m.". I can make a copy of this manual for you or any body else if they want, just pay the mailing cost. This manual was put out by the KTM factory and is forty pages long and it just covers engine rebuilding and carb work, no chassis maintenance.

din converts to horsepower @ about a 99% factor. 34 din is equal to about 33.5 american horsepower.
