Title: What's the best way to ship a bike cross country?
Post by: Chris MacAllister on January 27, 2001, 10:46:47 AM
I have to ship a 1975 250 Harescrambler from western central Vermont to Indianapolis.  What's the best, most inexpensive way?
Thanks!

I have used Forward Air as a very satisfied customer.  Plusses are good service, website to chart progress of your shipment, reasonable cost.  Minuses are (depending on your situation) you have to crate the bike, you have to deliver it to and pick it up from their terminal, they only have terminals in major cities.  Check their website at //www.forwardair.com for more info.  As a user, however, I was quite satisfied with their service, and a number of fellow cycle nuts have also had good service from them.
