Title: magura throttle parts
Post by: tomale on January 27, 2003, 08:07:43 PM
Ok I feel stupid, I crashed and broke the little adjusting bolt on my magura throttle. I have been told that they are very hard to find. I also need the rubber boot.  I think that alot of different bike used that same assembly but up here in the northwest European dealer's are as scarce of hen's teeth. who is that guy that has alot of parts Al B? I could use a after market assembly but by the time I changed the throttle and the cable and monkeyed with the whole thing I would have 50 bucks into a small problem.

Hello Thom, Al Buehner is the man ph# 216 651 6559, address 5818 Detroit ave.,Cheveland,Ohio 44102. I recently purchased a brand new magura throttle control complete for $58.00. Al has tons of parts,fast delivery and he's a great guy. Hope he can fix you up, tell him Chuck Carden sent you. Good luck!

Thanks alot, that is the guy I was thinking of. I have heard (read) you guys talk about Him, and I thought I would give him a shot at my little problem. I went looking for His number in past topics but was unable to find it.
happy trails

Thom...go to the "PARTS SECTION" on the POG home page. Not only will you find Al's contact information but also Larry Perkins, a link to Barry Higgins @ H&H KTM and more parts sources...

Thom,
Had the same problem with a Hodaka I have. (Throttle is complete on my Jackpiner, although the engine is not!)

Give this page a look.
//www.flandersco.com/FlanCableSearch.html
and click on the "adjusters" section.

You will have to see what size and pitch yours is but I bet that you can find a match.  I did for my "other" bikes.

Thanks andy,
I will add this site to my Fav. list. I contacted Al this morning and He set me up but you never know what I might need in the future.
