Title: chain length
Post by: William Burmeister on January 31, 2003, 01:58:00 PM
My restored '74 Penton 250 now needs a new chain (#530). Unfortunately, I don't have an original to measure for length. I'm running a 12 front and a 55 rear sprocket combination. Can anyone tell me the correct length for this bike?

Can try 120 links and cut to size etc...We use RK-M from Malaysia and saves a few $ but mine have lasted 2 years too...

Thom...here is a web site you might try. Please understand though that I have never dealt with this supplier and I know nothing about them. I merely have their web address.

I have a supplier for RK-M chain that is cheaper than that. If anyone is interested in a group buy, I might be able to work out something. Post reply if interested.
