Title: KTM MC5 250
Post by: Lloyd Boland on February 12, 2003, 11:35:49 PM
I have a 1976 KTM MC5 250 with the silencer part of the exhaust broken off.  Anybody have the demensions of the last cone and the silencer, they broke off right at the mounting bolt?  Does anyone make replacement cones?

DG makes after market steel silencers that you can weld on. seven eights of an inch id I THINK.

Mike, I called DG and they said they had no applications for a KTM and didn't want to recommend any universal application.  Thanks for trying.

HI Lloyd,
Do you still need the demensions for your pipe? I have a stock pipe and could get the demensions from it if you like.

Lloyd, I got mine from Dennis Kirk. You would want the 1 inch id. It says that size is for 125's but is about right for a vintage 250. Their phone is 800-328-9280, Part no 43-0943. Maybe its not a DG item. I thought so because its on the same page as other DG stuff.

Thom, Mike, thanks for your help.  I ordered the part from Dennis Kirk and should have it by next week.  If I need additional help, I'll let you know.  Again thanks for the help.  By the way, Dennis Kirk said it is a DG product.
